5/157 Barn approx. 30 metres
north-west of Rolls

Barn. Early C18, extended in later C18. Timber framed, weatherboarded, roofed
with red clay 'Roman' tiles. 3 bays aligned NE-SW with midstrey to SE.
Extended to SW by 5 bays, with another midstrey to SE. Lean-to extensions
between and each side of midstreys. 8 re-used jowled posts at SW end, other
posts unjowled. Primary straight bracing. Straight braces to tiebeams, some
replaced by bolted knees. Joggled butt-purlin roof to original barn, clasped
purlin roof to extension.
