Farmhouse. Lintel reads: "T & ED/1694", later alterations. Limewashed stone
rubble with some ashlar dressings, and slate roof; slate-hung south gable wall.
East elevation of 3 bays, the 1st bay later. 1st bay has projecting privy under
single-pitch roof with entrance to north. Ground floor has casement window to
1st bay; 2nd and 3rd bays have single-chamfered-mullioned windows of 2 and 3
lights, probably a blocked fire window to 3rd bay. 1st floor has sashed window
with single glazing bars to 1st bay; 2-light windows to 2nd and 3rd bays,
blocked light to 3rd bay. Entrance between 2nd and 3rd bays has richly moulded
architrave with 2 sunk ogees to lintel, which has lettering, relief decoration
and lintel; half-glazed door. Entrance to 1st bay, 2 gable-end stacks and
cross-axial stack. Rear has outshut under catslide roof, projecting further to
northern end, with lean-to outshut to north, and stack in roof slope. 2-light
window with chamfered light above. Interior not inspected, said to have stop
chamfered beams C17 door and winding stone stair. (RCHM Inventory: Westmorland
