C17 altered. 2 storey house. 3 windows on 1st floor. Machine tiled roof with
2 dormers. Ridge chimney right of centre. Plastered front. Some timber exposed
in brick gable to south-east. Sash windows, No 22 retains its C18 glazing bars.
No 24 has a recent shop window to the left (No 24A). Entrance with Ionic pilasters,
entablature has tall frieze. Stone built at rear with contemporary timber framed
gabled extension on north-west side. Back door has 6 fielded panels. Interior:
bricked up inglenook in front room.

The Public Hall and Nos 2 to 24 (even), 24a, 26 and 28 form a group of which
Nos 14, 16 and 20 are of local interest.
