Public house and cottage. Probably C17, altered. Whitewashed
roughcast to front, whitewashed chalk block and brick dressings
to left gable end and rear, slight timbering in left gable. Half-
hipped plain tile roof. Chimney with attached shafts of thin
brick between left bays, later brick chimney to front right.
One storey and attic, 3 bays. Various wooden casements, 2-light
in gabled dormers, ground floor windows with flush-panelled shutters.
C20 door with glazed and barred surround and lean-to hood on brackets
between right bays; C20 chalk lobby at left end. 2-bay former
outbuilding, now bar, to right, with 2 C20 wooden casements, door and
skylight. Brick cottage wing to rear of one storey and an attic, with
wooden casements and small gable behind lateral chimney.
