House, originally an inn.Late c17, extended on south east and south west
side, C19 and renovated mid-late C20. Timber framed, rendered and tiled roof
with red brick ridge stack and end and side stack. Straight; range plan with
contemporary short wing on the wing for a stair turret. Lean-to addition at
the rear south east end and to the front. Two storeys and attic. Two modern
dormers. Three first floor casements with modern leaded lights. Gabled two
storey stair turret on the front has one casement to each storey. Doorway
originally in the side of the stair turret, now in modern porch at south east
end. Interior has stop chamfered main beam. Scratchings on first plaster
and straw layer at first floor.
