House. Two main building periods. C18, extended by one bay later C18.
Timber framed, plaster rendered on plinth, cement rendered. Tiled roof. half
hipped with stack of red brick at right angles to the ridge. Later end
stack. Original three bay plan extended by one bay to the left hand. Two
storeys. Four early C19 casements at first floor with arched top panes.
Three similar windows and one mid-C20 window at ground floor. Early C19
moulded doorcase surround to lobby entry doorway, now partly obscured by C20
gabled porch. The bay to the left stands on a higher plinth and the ridge of
the roof is higher. At the right hand is an extension. Framed, rendered and
tiled. Single cell and one storey. Inside: Floor framing of unchamfered
parallel main beams. Wall framing not visible. Red brick inglenook hearth.
Staircase off the centre room. (Including No. 2 Rose Lane).
