ST 67 NW STOKE GIFFORD THE GREEN (east side)

Pair of cottages. Dated 1863. Rubble brought to courses, freestone dressings,
slate roofs. 2 storeys. 2 windows: a pair of central gables, flanked by lean-
to porches on chamfered shafts, project from main gabled block; windows, all in
central gables are transmullioned, diamond lattice casements, 3-light below,
2-light above; there are ornate bargeboards to gables and porches and large
central stacks; similar windows in end and rear gables. Part of a major
Beaufort estate development in the picturesque tradition.
