Almshouses, dated 1840 on plaque and inscribed 'Industry
Rewarded Age Protected'. Yellow gault brick, low-pitched hipped
slate roof, with two ridge stacks. Two storeys. Symmetrical
plan of six bays with two projecting, two-storey porches each
with gabled roofs and bargeboards. Four first floor,
three-light casement windows with lattice lights and stone drip
moulds. Four similar, but larger ground floor windows. The
porches have two, two-light fixed windows with lattice lights
and drip moulds, and entrances with double oak doors, shaped to
two-centred brick arches with drip moulds.
