Linkman's hut. Mid/Late C19. Red and blue header bond brick with
stone dressings and brick roof. Circular plan. Canal front: curved
plank door to centre with chamfered stone lintel. Square windows to
the sides with chamfered sills and lintels. Roll moulded stone coping
and parapet above. Domed roof with central chimney pot. There is a
similar hut adjacent Tilstone Fearnall lock, Tilstone Fearnall C.P.
(q.v.).
