5/27 Duddon Lodge.

House: early-mid C19 with later C19 addition. Stucco, hipped Welsh
slate roof, 4 plastered chimneys. Double-pile plan. 2-storey
symmetrical 3-bay front. 12-pane sashes. Central bay has detached
Tuscan porch with flat entablature. 6-panelled door behind with
marginal lights and semi-circular fanlight with radial glazing bars.
Recessed addition to right. Left side has sashes and semi-circular
headed tall window to light stair. Rear of 3-storeys has 2-light
horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars on 1st and 2nd floor.
Interior: entry into hall with plain baluster stair with mahogany
handrail and bracketted open string. 4-panelled doors in late
Classical doorcases with acanthus in the corners. Simply moulded
ceiling cornices.
