Milestone. Late C19. Cast iron. Triangular in plan. To left, hand pointing left and "SEDBERGH 15 MILES". To right, hand pointing right and "ASKRIGG 5 MILES". On top, "ASKRIGG H D". Dates from after the Highways Act of 1888. The milestone has been replaced on the wrong side of the road.
