cottage

GV II

Farmhouse, early C19; and mid/late C19 farm cottage. Dressed sandstone;
clay pantile roofs with stone ridge and gable copings and end stacks. 2
storeys; 3 windows to north-west front. Central doorway with mid C20 door
and overlight. 16-pane sashes with stone sills. 2 left-hand, first-floor
sashes renewed. 2-storey cottage, adjoining left, has one 16-pane sash
window on each floor. Late C19 opening with sash to right on ground floor.
Entered from left return. Boarded garret light in right return. Renewed
round-headed stair window to rear. Farmhouse has dogleg staircase with
stick balusters.
