Lodge, railings and gatepiers. Early - mid C19. Coursed rubble with freestone
dressings; Cotswold stone slate roof with overhanging bracketted eaves;
decorative octagonal chimneys. Picturesque lodge in a Tudor Gothic style.
Asymmetrical with projecting gabled east wing. Single storey. 4 bays: single
light casement windows; bay window with shouldered lintels on south gable end.
Projecting east wing has an ornamental gabled porch with a bargeboard decorated
with trefoils. C20 door. To the north and part of the east side of the
lodge's garden and further east, on the opposite side of Church Avenue, are the
contemporary gatepiers and railings: low coped rubble wall, cast iron railings
with decorative finials, octagonal capped ashlar piers.
