Two cottages, late C17, with C20 alterations. Brick nogged timber
framing and brickwork with asbestos-cement sheeting over thatch.
Single storey and attic, 4 bays including projecting gable (west)
which completes a "T" shaped plan. Fairly close studding, with single
middle rail, and angle braces, some timbers simulated in
cement-mortar. Mainly flush casements with C20 replacements in the
east cottage. Attic windows in gabled dormers and gable-end.
Replaced entrance doors.
Interior: The west cottage has bevelled beams and exposed joists
whereas the east cottage is much altered and of no interest.
