Pair of cottages, formerly three cottages. Late C16 or early C17, with C18 and C20 extensions. Timber framed and plastered, the left hand bay fragmentary timber frame, clad or replaced in brick, now painted, thatched roof. One storey and attics. Gabled crosswing at right hand end added 1920s. 6:1 window range of mainly C19 timber casements, those to r~o 7, being C20 leaded casements. Small gabled 2-light casement dormer beneath tiled roof. 2 boarded doors to former Nos 8 and 9. Axial red brick stack of two builds between Nos 7 and 8. Thin painted stack between No 7 and its crosswing. Remains of former left hand end stack is now internal. No 7 retains part of exposed frame. Nos 8 and 9 (formerly), noted as having now exposed frame, that to far left probably of later build. Part exposed inglenook fireplace. Clasped purlin roof of various builds where visible. Front wall to main range is recessed under the overhanging eaves formerly supported on posts. Lease exists from 1555.
