Cottage

mid C19, with some later alterations. Rendered stone rubble. Asbestos slate roof
with gable ends. Gable end stacks to the front range and gable end sack to left in

The front range is of 2-room plan, with central entrance, each room heated from a
gable end stack.
Exterior: Hatches House is 2-storey, with a symmetrical 3 window front, all windows
C19 12-pane sashes ; central half-glazed C20 door with decorative overlight. The
roof is hipped to left and has a gable end to right, blind at each side. To the rear
is a C20 window at first floor and small single storey lean-to.
Hatches Green Cottage is at the rear, at the right side ; 2-storeys, asymmetrical
front with C20 12-pane sash at ground and first floor to left. C20 lean-to porch
with C20 window above. C20 single storey addition to front right. The wall steps
back to right, at the line of the addition of the stable.
