Pair of cottages. Circa late C18. Rendered stone rubble with slate roof with gable
ends. Large stone rubble chimney stacks on gable ends. Left-hand chimney stack with
set-offs. Pair of mirror image 1-room plan cottages built into side of hill.
Symmetrical 4-window front. Ground floor with 2 early C20 partly glazed 4-panel
doors near centre, flanked by 2 C20 2-light casements without glazing bars. First
floor with two 4-pane sashes and two 2-light casements. 2 attic windows with C20 2-
light casement without glazing bars on left and C19 2-light casement with glazing on
right, both in raking roof half-dormers.
Interior not inspected.
Included for group value and for historic interest.
Jonathan Couch (qv Couchs House) was born in Warren Cottage in 1789.
