8/135 Wheel Cottage and Anchor Cottage

2 cottages, originally 4. Early C19. Slatestone rubble walls, asbestos slate and
Delabole dry slate roofs with gable ends. Brick chimneys. One room plans originally
except for left (i.e. north) part of Anchor Cottage which is 2 room plan. 2 storeys.
Wheel Cottage left has 3 window front. Door within C20 porch off centre to left.
Window slightly to right probably originally door. C20 windows with glazing bars.
Anchor Cottage, right, has 2 window front with central C20 door and glazed porch plus
further 2 window front with 6-panelled door to left. Part to right is 1940's
extension. All windows are 16-paned sashes. Cambered brick arches to most openings.
Interior of Anchor Cottage has original stair and open beamed ceilings. Interior of
Wheel Cottage not inspected. Included for group value.
