SS 2306 BUDE-STRATTON CHURCH SQUARE, STRATTON

13/171 Lower Ring of Bells and
- Higher Ring of Bells

GV II

2 houses. Circa late C17 origins. C19 and C20 alterations. Stone rubble to
first floor level, probably refaced on front right. Whitewashed and rendered at
first floor and on right gable end. Brick chimney at right gable end. Rag slate
roof (diminishing courses). Arched cart entrance between houses. 2 storeys. 4-
window asymmetrical front with C20 slate-hanging in spandrels of cart entrance.
Front doors to each house under cart entrance. 2 ground floor windows, each a
horned C19 sash each 3 panes above 3. First floor windows left 2-pane fixed
window, first floor window one from left gabled full dormer with 4-pane C29
hornless sash, first floor window one from right 2-light casement, 9 panes per
lights, first floor window right 3-light C19 casement, 2 panes per light. Remains
of moulded string at first floor level across whole of front of house right.
Interior not inspected.
Forms part of a group in Church Square.
