House in row. Mid C18. Portland ashlar front, rendered
elsewhere, steep-pitched slate roof.
3 storeys and attic, 2 windows; a 2-light casement hipped
dormer above 9- and 12-pane sashes in moulded stone
architraves, with central 16-pane at ground floor. To the
right, in reveals, a 6-panel fielded door on 2 stone steps.
Ground floor is rusticated, under a broad plain string, with
rusticated alternating quoins to a moulded cornice. The right
side has a dormer at mid-depth, and at the back the ridge of
the main roof continues to a 2-light hipped dormer, with 16
and 4-pane sashes above a C20 glazed lean-to.
INTERIOR: not inspected, but RCHME reports a 2-room plan with
central staircase off the passageway to the right.
A handsome building, somewhat isolated among generally later
development.
