Pair of cottages in a row. Circa late C19, remodelling of possibly C18 house.
Rendered walls. Dry Delabole slate roof with rendered chimneys over the gable ends
and over the cross party wall. Cast-iron ogee gutters.
Plan: double depth plan, each cottage with 2 small front rooms flanking central cross
passage leading to stair and rear service rooms.
Exterior : 2 storeys. Overall nearly symmetrical 4 window front, each cottage
originally a mirror image of the other but the right hand cottage has enlarged first
floor window, left, making a canted bay. Bay windows on 2 floors extreme right and
left with slate roof verandah to shelter ground floor openings between. Ledged
doors. Horned sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor openings have provision
for storm shutters.
