Inscribed stone. Pre-Conquest. Roughly-hewn granite monolith lying horizontally on the ground. The top of the stone has incised decoration and inscription in Latin possibly:
E - A -
The stone has sockets cut at either end, probably for later use as a gate post
or stile stone.
