Boundary post. Dated 1874. Cast iron set in stone rubble wall. Triangular on
plan with chamfered front angle and similar pyramidal cap over cornice. 2
attached plates with moulded edges and raised lettering; that to left reads:
"TOWNSH/IP OF /MARTIND/ALE", that right reads: "LTD]WNSH/[IP] OF/[BA]RTON" (2
angles broken off), date above.
