Pair of houses at end of row. Early C19. Stucco, slate roof.
2 storeys and attic, each 1 window; 16-pane sashes in moulded
flush boxes. To the right in each house an arched opening with
plain deep reveals to plain fanlights over C20 door. The small
plinth dies to the pavement, left, continuous moulded cornice,
blocking and parapet coping. Large brick ridge stack to the
left party wall of each; the roof to No.4 is at a lower pitch
than that to No.5. A plain return, with one attic window, to
the right, in Victoria Street, and each house a deep, narrow
rear wing. No.4 has a large dormer, and each has 4-pane sashes
at the rear.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
This modest pair of houses retains an unspoiled frontage, and
the original overall form.
