GV II

Boundary walls and gate piers. Early C19. Rubble, with dressed
stone piers. A continuous run of wall approx 1.8m high, with
alternating on-edge coping stones, immediately adjacent to
Sutton Road. The wall begins at the courtyard entrance to the
Coach House (qv) and continues for approx 35m to a square
dressed pier with flat pyramidal capping. A new quadrant
section to weathered coping returns to a further tall pier
with concave pyramidal capping to reeded edge and with a ball
finial, matched by a similar pier opposite, stopping a run of
rubble wall opposite the S front of the Day Nursery (qv).
