House now 2 dwellings, formerly dower house of Coates family of Helperby Hall. c1800 with considerable late C19-early C20 alterations and additions to street front, garden front; brick, pebble dashed. C20 pantile roofs and pebble dashed chimneys. Two storeys, 4 bays plus extension of 4 bays to left. Porch with segmental lead roof. Half-glazed 6-panel door. Canted bay of 2 storeys with sundial to right of porch. Single storey canted bay to left. Interior: several original fireplaces with grates. Road front shows Edwardian extensions in brick and stucco with varied fenestration.
