Group of traditional Purbeck cottages, possibly originally built for quarrymen.
No 37 - probably C18, has Purbeck Stone walls, colourwashed, and Purbeck Stone roof.
Stone stack. Two storeys. Ground floor has door and 2 casement windows. First floor
has 2 casement windows. No 39 - probably late C17, has Purbeck Stone walls and roof.
One storey and attic. Casement windows. Ground floor fireplace with bread oven.
No 41, late C18, has Purbeck Stone walls and roof. Brick stacks. Two storeys.
Ground floor has rendered porch and part-glazed door. Two casement windows on each
storey. Purbeck Stone boundary wall to road. Rear entrance to No 37 has as gate piers,
cast iron bollards from London. Picturesque group. RCHM Monument 61.
