Stables and cartshed. Late C18.Random rubble walls, ashlar quoins, stone slate roof. Three-window stable, similar length cartshed, both lofted.

Facade facing house; central, boarded door to stable, segmental head, of two shallow stones with slightly projecting keystone, head extended horizontally a short distance each side. Either side a semi-circular headed window, plain ashlar frame and sill with slightly projecting keystone. No openings to loft:to left large buttress, eaves to cartshed slightly higher. Inserted boarded door with timber lintel by buttress, blocked door with timber lintel, centre cartshed range: entrance to cartshed on left return. Right return stable, shuttered opening with stone lintel low down on left for shovelling out manure; shuttered opening in gable with timber lintel.Owl hole in gable of higher section.

Internally, cobbled floor to stable, three heavy floor beams over. Above, interrupted tie-beam trusses with collar, two pairs purlins, plank ridge. Loft originally used as granary, with access by door in rear wall, rising into dormer, all up short flight of stone steps from higher ground level. Dormer collapsed before time of survey (1986). Roof to cartshed not inspected: access similar, but dormer extant. A conscious attempt at architectural design. Forms group with house and barn (q.v.).
