Planned farmbuildings, early C19. Coursed rubble with tooled-and-margined
quoins and dressings; stone slate roofs (except for slate on west side of
east range). Ranges around rectangular yard, closed on south by lower
buildings. North range (shelter sheds with granary over) 2 storeys, 5 bays;
arcade of segmental arches, mostly blocked except for central which is entrance
to yard; slatted windows above. To rear, 2 pent pigsties to west of entrance
and later additions (not of interest) to east. East range (byre and hayloft)
shows boarded door in alternating-block surround; old 12-pane casement and
slit vents to 1st floor. West range (barn) shows 2 stable doors in alternating-
block surrounds,and slit vents; to rear circular gingang with openings between
piers largely walled up, conical roof with heavy tie-beam carrying roof
structure. On south of yard pair of byres with stable doors; lower cart
shed to right, has 3-bay open front with broad timber posts (roof partly
missing at time of survey).
