House at Nether Hurst

Farmhouse. C17 with later alterations and additions. Roughcast gritstone with
plain gables, end ridge stone stacks and a stone slated roof. Two storeys, four
bays, that to south end possibly an addition, Former 3-light recessed chamfer
mullioned windows to northern bay, now with c19 horizontal sliding sashes, To the
next bay, a quoined doorway and massive lintel with chamfer and a plain planked
door. To the south, a single light window with chamfered surround and diamond-
paned leaded light. The two bays at the south end have later ground floor windows,
one with a c19 sash, the other a C20 frame with top hung light. Interior altered,
but retaining exposed ceiling beams,
