House and front courtyard walls, formerly inhabited by the Steward of the Mount.
Early C19. Stucco. Half-hipped and hipped scantle slate roof with brick chimneys
over the side walls. Cast-iron ogee gutter.
Plan: L-shaped double depth plan: 2 equal front reception rooms with central entrance
passage between; service wing at right angles behind the left hand room and service
room in shallow outshut behind the right-hand room.
Exterior : 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window front, facing roughly east. Central
doorway with 6-panel door with overlight and C20 copy wooden distyle Doric porch in
front of doorway. Banded stucco pilasters flanking the front and round arches
framing the ground floor window openings. Circa late C19 or C20 sashes with glazing
bars.
Interior not inspected; original C19 internal joinery is likely to survive.
