Bridge at SW8052544082

II

Road bridge over stream leading to Calenick Creek. Circa early-mid C19. Killas rubble, elvan and dressed granite. Double-span with splayed abutments and central pier with cutwaters at either end. Spanned by granite lintels and mortar coped rubble parapets.

A simple but good example of a road bridge based on the clapper bridge principle.
