GV II

House with retaining wall and steps. Circa late C18. Painted stone rubble with
asbestos slate roof and large stone rubble chimney stacks on gable ends. Built into
side of hill. 2-room plan with central stair hall.
3 storeys, symmetrical 2-window front. Ground floor with two 2-light casements with
glazing bars flanking C19 6-panelled door with top lights glazed. Slate-hung gabled
porch with slate roof. First floor with 2-light casements with glazing bars and
second floor with 2-light casements with glazing bars with half-dormers with raking
roofs.
Interior C19 chimney pieces with corbelled brackets. Ceiling beams with bowtell
moulding on 1 corner and slight chamfer on the other. Upper floors not inspected.
Stone rubble steps with slate treads leading up to house with stone rubble retaining
wall to the Warren.
