C18 front elevation on older core with remains of half-timbering visible on
north-end. 2 storeys and attic in painted brick with fairly steep machine tile
roof with 2 square-headed dormers with moulded cornices, sashes with glazing
bars. Lead rainwater head. 5 windows to 1st floor, hung sashes with glazing
bars. Late C19 shop fronts with wood cases. Passage door with wood case with
pilasters and lintel enriched with paterae and guilloche. Ornamental dummy
fanlight to south entry. Two staircases, both with plain newels, simply moulded
handrails and closed strings (one of which is moulded with pulvinated frieze):
both boarded. Three Cl8 chimneypieces, two with moulded architraves and one
with bolection surround. At least one door with three bolection moulded panels.
Shop interior has early C19 three bay arcade of depressed arches on cast iron
Tuscan columns.
