An C18 front to a C17 timber-framed and plastered house. 2 storeys, attics
and cellars. 2 window range, double-hung sashes. The 1st storey windows have
glazing bars in the upper sashes and are in flush cased frames. The ground
storey has 2, 3-light bays and a central doorway united by a triglyph frieze
and cornice which runs across the whole front. Roof tiled, with 1 gabled dormer.
The interior has exposed ceiling beams and old farmhouse doors.

All the listed buildings from No 19 to No 41 on the west side and
No 4 to No 20 on the east side form a group with Bawn Cottage, Bawn Close.
