SO 8502 RODBOROUGH HOUNDSCROFT

17/121 Apple Tree Cottage


GV II

Formerly part of farmhouse, now house on end of row. Late C17;
extensive 1927 rebuilding. Random and coursed rubble limestone;
ashlar chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-storey. Front: single
gable with 3-light chamfered mullioned upper floor casement having
hoodmould. Off-centre C20 restored 4-light ground floor casement
to left, 3-light to right, both with hoodmoulds. Central doorway
with C20 door and stone lintel. Hipped eaves-mounted roof dormer.
Ridge-mounted chimneys with moulded caps. Interiors not
inspected. Included for Group Value.
