House, now 2 dwellings. Mid to late C17. Cased and extended late C18 or
early C19, altered C20. Timber frame. Brick casing, rendered with some
weatherboarding and tilehanging. Tiled roof. L plan. 2 storeys and
attic. No. 14 to left: 2 windows. Entrance to left in later porch. 2
light casements with timber sills. Plat band. 1 gabled dormer.
Weatherboarded left gable end. Tall stack to rear. No. 16 has entrance
to left in later timber porch under a 2-light casement. Cross wing to
right projects forward with 2 ground floor 2-light casements with
segmental heads, deep reveals. First floor 3-light flush frame casement.
Tilehung gable. Cross wing is 2 builds with a lower ridge to rear. Stack
to rear. Weatherboarded right return and rear. Small gabled
weatherboarded wing to rear. Interior: No. 14 has stop chamfered binding
beam, clasped purlin roof. Flat roofed roughcast addition not of special
interest.
