House with attached forge and stables. Late C18. Herringbone-tooled
sandstone ashlar, French tiles to house; hammer-dressed sandstone rubble and
pantiles to outbuildings. Central-entry house with stables to left and
forge to right. House of 2 storeys, 3 bays; single-storey outbuildings.
House: steps to 6-fielded-panel door with overlight, and casements
throughout. Stepped eaves course, end stacks. Stables: 2 stable doors.
Sprocketed eaves. Forge: wide board door with 3-light Yorkshire sash to
right. Right end and rear stacks. Interior: forge has 2 hearths with large
brick built flues, disused at time of resurvey.
