Two houses, now public house. Circa 1600 with C20 fenestration and ground floor re-building. Timber-framed with rendered square panels, close studding beneath first floor windows, straight braces, and old tile roof.

Two framed bays. Three storeys; first floor probably jettied before re-building; jettied second floor with moulded bressumer and three carved scroll brackets; four small jettied gables above with cusped and concave lozenge-decorated queen-post trusses, and continuous moulded bressumer with small brackets. Three second floor three-light C20 leaded casements, two first floor five-light C20 leaded oriel windows, and two ground floor five-light C20 leaded oriel windows flanking pair of C20 half glazed doors.

INTERIOR: introduced C19 Neo-Jacobean dog-leg staircase. This building forms a good group with Nos. 13A, 14 and 15 Market Place (q.v.)
