GV II

2 houses, now divided and part shops. Mid C16 with C17 and C18 extensions, C19 and
C2O alterations. Timber framed clad in whitewashed render to front left, colour-
washed roughcast to right; brick cladding to rear with plain tiled roofs, gable
end on to street. Three storeys, triple gabled front with central stack and
further stacks to rear. Second floor of gables jettied, that to left part under-
built, C19 bargeboards above. One 3-light leaded casement window on second floor
of each gable under moulded lintel, 4-light leaded square bay window to first
floor left. Two square bay oriels to first floor right on rendered cove supports
and under large,early C18 modillioned cornice. C19 shop front to ground floor
left with coved lintel and panelled pilaster to end under guttae decoration.
Deeply recessed entrance with panelled ceiling in late C17/C18 style, the panels
bordered by bold bands of foliage and fruit carving. C20 shop front to right.
Rear:- Thin frame exposed inside brick cladding.
