Probably one house, now 2. Mid C18 origins, early-mid C19 conversion to 4
cottages. Coursed squared stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys 4 lst-floor
windows. Quoins. Plain stone surrounds to openings; 2-light flat-faced mullion
windows. From left: window, door, window, door, window, probable former door,
window (mullion removed), door. Plain gutter brackets. 3 stacks, to left ends of
3 left-hand cells. Rear: four 2-light windows to each floor, ground-floor
mullions removed; inserted lst-floor doorway to No 40.
