east junction of lanes at East Hatch
(Nadder House)

GV II

Detached cottage. Late C17, C18 addition to west. Rubble stone,
thatched roof to C17 range, tiles to C18 build, gable end stone and
brick stacks, coped verges. Two-storey, 4-window. Six-panelled
door with gabled canopy to right of C18 range with 2-light casement
to left and 3-light mullioned casement with hoodmould, 2-light
mullioned casement and steel casement to right. First floor of
C18 range has two 2-light wooden casements, brick eyebrow dormer to
right has two 2-light mullioned casements. Right return has 2-
light mullioned casement to first floor, pair of trefoiled pointed
lights with quatrefoil, possibly reset, to attic. Rear has wing
to left with tile-hung gable, glazed door and 2-light casements to
right. Interior not accessible at time of survey (January 1986).
