Farmhouse. Said to be dated 1791 on rainwater heads. Flemish bond brick with
stone string course. Old plain-tile mansard roof; 2 brick valley stacks. Central
staircase plan. Late Georgian style. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range.
Symmetrical front. 4-panelled door has overlight with margin bars, panelled
reveals and moulded architrave. Porch of painted wood Tuscan columns with
concave lead roof. Sashes have painted rendered rusticated flat arches with
keyblocks. Ground floor sashes have glazing bars of lower half replaced with
plate glass. Dormers have 6-pane sashes. 2-bay return sides. Interior not
inspected. Built on the site of the mansion of the Earls of Chichester,
demolished in 1776.
