This is an C18 rebuilding of an older timber-framed house, and remains low-ceilinged
and Tudorish in shape. Some timber-framing visible in west end wall and a chimney
partly rebuilt but showing old, narrow bricks. Main front of 2 storeys and attic,
3 windows. Steeply-pitched swept, tiled roof with later wood modillion eaves
cornice and 3 flat modern dormers. Coursed chalk blocks galleted with ironstone.
Cut voussoirs to arches of modern small-paned casements. 6-panel door, top glazed,
in wood trellis porch. Pentice of circa 1800 at back left in similar materials.
Interior shows old floors of thick planks; and a queen-post roof with stout side
purlins. Originally occupied by the Agent of the Reigate Priory estate.
