Wayside Cottage

GV II

Two semi-detached cottages. Probably c1700. Cob and flint on
brick plinth, half-hipped thatched roof, axial brick stack.
Single-storey and attic, one window north front. Entrances at
gable ends. Rose Cottage to east has 4-panelled door and 3-light
casement to ground floor of east gable, light timber-framed attic
storey has 2-light and 3-light casements. Road front, partly
rendered has 3-light casement to ground floor and eyebrow dormer to
Wayside Cottage with casement, single-storey C19 extension to right
has French windows and 3-light casements, tiled roof. Rear and
interiors not accessible at time of survey (April 1986). Attached
to left of Rose Cottage is C20 addition, not of special interest.
