House and outbuildings. Early C18. Squared, coursed rubble
with limestone ashlar dressings, Pennant rubble, pantile roof
and brick end stacks. Double-depth plan, forming 3 sides of a
small courtyard. 3 storeys and cellar; 3-window range.
Symmmetrical front, a panelled door with a rectangular
overlight and a flat canopy on quadrant, scrolled brackets
(see the Grange, Park Road (qv)); 2-light windows with C20
metal casements.
INTERIOR: flagged through-passage to blocked rear door with a
winder stair to the right. Stopped, chamfered internal rear
doorway on the right, cupboards in the front right room with
HL-hinges.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: extension to the rear left has bread oven
and first-floor cheese loft; flagged courtyard to the rear
opening, to right.
