GV II

Pair of terraced houses, now one house, standing above road
level. Early C19. Stucco with slated roofs and box dormers. 3
storeys. 3-window range (1 blind). Round-arched entrances at
angles, No.27 with timber Doric doorcase having open pediment,
half-round fluted columns and triglyph imposts; entrance
converted to a window. No.28, panelled door with radial
fanlight. At 1st floor level, No.27 has blind window above
entrance and to right a canted bay oriel; No.28 a square bay
oriel. Recessed sashes of various dates; ground floor of No.27
plate glass. All the listed buildings in Fore Street form a
group.
