Town house (later pilchard pressing house) over probable
former fish cellar (later net store). C17. Painted rubble
walls with oak lintels; steep asbestos slate roof with brick
shaft over corbelled rubble stack on right. Double-depth plan
including integral rear outshut. 2 storeys plus attic;
3-window range. C20 casement windows with glazing bars; ground
floor with deeply-set window under central window and doorway
at far right with C20 glazed door. Right-hand return has
flight of painted rubble steps with slate treads and late C19
or early C20 lean-to porch on landing. INTERIOR of Lerryn
Cottage has original chamfered and stopped oak joists and
pegged lapped collar trusses; early C19 stair balustrade.
