to east of No. 35.
GV II
Pair of houses. Mid C19. Red brick; hipped slate roof; central brick
ridge chimney. 2 storeys, attic and basement; 2 first-floor windows
No. 33 entered from the side. Panelled part-glazed door with plain
overlight is flanked by plain pilasters and fluted columns supporting
a triglyph frieze and hood with modillion cornice. No. 35 has similar
doorcase with panelled reveals in wing set back to right. Windows
of No. 33 have glazing bars; No. 35 has large-paned sashes, all under
flat gauged brick arches. Later C19 extension to left of No. 33 with
square-fronted bay to left has wooden mullioned and transomed windows
under cambered brick arches. Red brick boundary wall adjoining No. 33
has tablet: Erected /1822/W. Shalders.
