House. Early C18, remodelled c1790, with C20 alterations.
Coursed rubble sandstone, partly rendered and painted, with
ashlar dressings. Slate roof with 2 brick gable stacks and a
single coped gable to rear.
3 storeys; 2-window range. L-plan. South west front has two
12-pane sashes and above, two 9-pane sashes. Ground floor has
2 larger 12-pane sashes. All these have flush ashlar
surrounds. North-west front has round-headed doorway with
6-panel door and fanlight. South-east front has 2-storey rear
wing, a single 2-light flush mullion window on each floor.
Rear, to north-east, has 2-light flush mullion windows
lighting the stairs.
INTERIOR has chamfered beams with stops. Early C18 dogleg
staircase with replaced stick balusters, and on the first
floor, a fine early C18 fireplace with panelled sides and a
central large keystone with flushes. The other room has a
simple late C18 fireplace with contemporary iron dog grate.
